PLARIDEL-PULILAN BRIDGE, BULACAN, PH, spans 30 meters over the angat River, along the Maharlika Highway, The Contract JBIC Assisted, for the Rehabilitation of the Bridge was awarded to Foundation Soecialists, Inc.. The Project consisted of the replacement of the old timber foundations with large diameter reinforced concrete cast in place Bored Piles with permanent steel casing, the demolition of the old masonry piers and replacement with reinforced concrete pile caps and piers, the support of the Bridge Superstructure (shown in picture) by a temporary steel structure, demolition of the old concrete slab, retrofitting of the continuous steel superstructure and casting of the new reinforced concrete Bridge slab, sidewalks and railings, finishings and signages. The continuous beams superstructure was retrofitted, reinforced and augmented in accordance to the general seismic retrofitting of the Bridge, and fitted to satisfy DPWH Standards for Highway Bridges. The approaches to the Plaridel –Pulilan Bridge were part of FS Contract.
